Let me make one thing clear. For the last 20 years, I’ve stuck with the same old same old. I am a rectangular framed girl through and through.
The problem I have with glasses is that my eyes and head are tiny. Think cartoon character small. I have such a hard time finding anything that 1) fits 2) looks nice or 3) both.
So when
Firmoo contacted me saying I could pick out a pair of glasses on them, I was hesitant. I’ll admit, it was quite a challenge to find a pair of frames I liked that fit the parameters. Originally, I picked a frame I
loved but was quite disappointed when I went to put in my details and was given an alert that the frame wouldn’t work with my measurements.
Bummer.
Honestly, they didn’t have a single pair of frames that fit my measurement. I had to pick the smallest ones they had, which were a bit bigger than what I needed. The style isn’t anything I would normally select. But maybe that’s not an awful thing. It pushed me out of my comfort zone. And hey, for free glasses, I wasn’t complaining. I was able to upload a #selfie (ha) and “try” the glasses on virtually.
I laughed the first time I put them on in real life because I just felt absolutely ridiculous in them. Totally outside of my comfort zone, that’s for sure.

But y’all. First of all, it’s really not
Firmoo’s fault that I have such a tiny head–let me make that clear. And secondly–the entire process was
so freaking easy. From picking out my frames, to entering in my prescription, to tracking and receiving the package. Considering these suckers came all the way from China–they arrived in a timely fashion.
They added the anti-reflective coating and UV coating for me for free since my number one problem with my eyesight–even more than my corrective lenses–is my ability to reflect light.
The frames fit perfectly, even with having to order a few measurements up. They’re well made and sturdy.
So yes, while I’m not
100% comfortable with the style I selected (now I know I can probably pick others despite the measurements), I would (and WILL!) absolutely use
Firmoo in the future. Their frames and lenses are so freaking reasonably priced I wondered at first if they were just complete crap (just my honest opinion here). I purchased glasses from my eye doctor back in August and I’m afraid to tell you what they cost because it’ll make you lose your appetite.
Had I not received the generosity of a free pair from Firmoo, these babies would have been (frame, lenses, coating, etc) under $50! Unheard of for glasses!
So here I am. Totally pushed outside of my comfort zone on this Selfie Sunday! What do you guys think? Can I rock the 60s look?

They look GREAT on you!! Good for you for going out of your comfort zone because they are perfect for your face shape. Kind of an updated rectangle 🙂 I think buying glasses has its challenges for everyone… I have a large head so I have to try on a million pairs to find some big enough – haha.
I really like them on you! It's hard to go away from your glasses comfort zone.
You look ADORABLE in them!!!!!
Um, I LOVE those new frames on you!! They're perfect for your face shape and I totally understand glasses being too big – I have a narrow face too and it's really hard to find glasses that are small enough – so I just embrace the giantness of them all, haha. Seriously – SUPER cute.
Loving them!!! It's a frame I'd choose for sunglasses…and well, have chosen, and LOVE. It's a totally different thing to wear them as regular frames…hahaha. So cute, and so 1960s. Perfection.
I think you look totally adorable in those glasses! Especially the selfie shot in the end!
I think they look super cute on you! I've always loved retro-style glasses though I've never been brave enough to go for a pair!
