Stuff & Things 1/21

>>This week has been a weird one, friends.  I’m sure you can imagine.  After spending 10 days back home, diving back into reality was a little tough to do.  I’ve eaten more sushi than one should probably admit this week.  Apparently that’s my comfort food.

>>I’ve also done a little shopping.  And by that I mean buying my first ever Mac & Tarte lipsticks.  Because apparently those are the important things in life.  Duh.
>>I started back on the Parenthood train.  I bailed on the later seasons on live TV because I just couldn’t find the time anymore.  It’s probably a mistake to be watching that show right now, given everything. But it’s a good bingeable show.  And it gives me a reason to cry.  Like I needed one of those.
>>I’m glad so many are IN on the whole “new” New Years thing!  It’ll be fun for sure.  Maybe we should come up with a hashtag.  Any suggestions?  I’ll put my thinking cap on, too.
>>I was at the grocery store on Tuesday and the guy at the register got all excited.  Apparently I was in the newspaper a few weeks ago.  I had no idea, but he was gushing.  What do you do? he asked.  Apparently the photo came from an “event” I attended.  I can only assume it was the launch of the new Juice Bar on Park Rd.  There were some Panther’s players there, and it was a pretty neat little event.  Apparently he just thought it was the coolest thing ever that I get to attend events like that.  And it is pretty cool.  Sometimes we forget how neat it really is to be a blogger and what kind of opportunities come our way because of it.

>>With the “new year” looming, I wanted to let you guys know what to expect from this space.  I have a lot of projects that are gearing up for launch (I’m excited!), so this space might look slightly different.  I was a gung ho (uhm, so, I’ve never typed that out before.  It looks weird.  Right?) 5-days-a-week poster.  I can’t keep up with that pace these days.  So I will say this.  Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, you will absolutely find new content here.  I’ll leave Monday and Friday for bonus content if I have any.  Sound good?  Good.

>>Not to get all gushy on you or anything, but I honestly can’t express to you how much all the support the last few weeks has been.  You make me feel like this is a safe space, that I can be as real and as candid as I need to be, and that I’m never going through anything alone.  I mentioned that to my husband on Tuesday night.  That you guys, my little tribe, have just been so amazing.  I can’t thank you enough.
Now I have to go return a bunch of mascara.
Ps…it feels really good to be back.  Now link up with me and Kristin to make us feel loved, okay?

Pack Like a Pro: Moving Made Easy

So my friend called me last week in a bit of a panic. Without really meaning to, she and her husband sold their house and bought a new one. I'd tell you the whole story about how someone randomly showed up on their doorstep putting in an offer on their house that...

  1. So, hi. I follow your instagram and finally came to your blog…because I follow Kristin's blog and have been meaning to participate in this link-up and finally did, and I believe in AT LEAST reading the hosts posts…whew…that was a run-on sentence. So, I find myself here, and I'm picking up the vibes that you've been going through a tough time. I'm going to stop what I'm doing (after I type this) and say a little prayer specifically for you. Now, I don't know if you believe in prayer or not, but I always ask for positivity to find its way to you, so that can't be a bad thing, can it? I'm glad I found you.

  2. I bailed on the Parenthood last season because it was the only one not on Netflix and Hulu adds are annoying! But I love that show and want to finish it, it brings up so many real emotions and definitely some tears! I'm a firm believer that TV can be great therapy! 🙂 Excited to see the new stuff your working on!

  4. While I would agree that you shouldn't be watching parenthood right now, it is a feel good family show and once you get it done you can bibge others shows that are coming soon…like fuller house, etc 😉
