Stuff & Things 3/19

by | Mar 19, 2015 | Throwback | 30 comments

>>This new life, y’all?  I can’t hang.  I went from struggling to hit 10,000 steps/ day on my fitbit WITH a 3 mile run to effortlessly hitting 10,000 by 2PM on the reg without a run (speaking of which, I really need to get back into the running thing.  Sigh).  I’m totally not complaining.  I’m so busy I can’t see straight, and it’s amazing.
>>Speaking of amazing… I came home on Wednesday night to dinner made by the hubs followed by a quick stroll with the pup to go grab some ice cream.  That?  Yeah…that’s my “backyard.”  I ain’t mad.

>> This happened.  That’s me taking my fist bite of a PB&J sandwich.  Yup, that’s right.  That’s one more thing crossed off the 30 before 30!  The oldest (of the family I watch) found out I hadn’t ever had one, and she needed to remedy that immediately.  She made me a sandwich (how sweet!) and then proceeded to take many photos AND video the entire thing.

>> Kristina came over to see the new place, catch up, and have some wine on Tuesday night.  I just love that my Campbell blogging buddy is now my Charlotte friend!  That was really lucky!  When she left, I said to J “I just love that it’s Tuesday night  and a friend came over without having to drive an hour.”  In the same regard, I’ve met two of my neighbors on our floor and both are just absolutely lovely.  We clicked instantly, and I can’t tell you how happy that makes my heart.

>> I’m still adjusting.  Things went into such warp speed there at the end that I didn’t even know which end was up.  I’m completely sleep deprived and not 100% settled yet, though getting there.  I appreciate y’all bearing with me while all of this craziness has been going on!  Soon, I promise, things will get back to normal!  In the meantime, I love you guys!

And now, it’s your turn!

  3. Hey there neighbor! I live south of Charlotte. . . WELCOME! Just found your blog through Penny's Passion. I recognized your backyard immediately. PBJ, can't have due to peanut allergy so never had one either! I do eat it with almond butter on occasion though. Not sure what all the fuss is about to be honest.

  9. I have to know, how was the PB&J??? Love the pretty purple nails you're rocking too. I swear walking is the best "hidden" form of exercise when it's something that's just happening. So glad you're loving your new (again) city.

  14. It sounds like so many exciting things are happening in your life at the moment! I oddly love settling in to new places, I hope you're enjoying it too. I've never had a PB&J sandwich either – it's not really a thing in the UK plus peanuts make me want to vom. So… On balance, probably not on my 30 before 30 list!

I didn't have a PBandJ until I was about 18…it was just okay. I never liked the combo, but they are good once in awhile. I make them for Scott a lot.

So glad you love your new locale!
