I’ve been asked a few times over the last few weeks my thoughts on Bare Minerals.  And here’s the deal.  I use drugstore make up most often these days just because I work from home and only occasionally actually see other people (ha).  I also use drugstore makeup because I really enjoy buying and trying new (affordable) products.  There’s more of a market for drugstore products with the online community.  So when I first started making youtube videos, I made the decision to use more drugstore brands because they were more affordable and more easily accessible (especially for people like me in the middle of no where without an ulta or mall in a decent range).

Bare Minerals, however, is the one brand I would spend all of my money on.  Always.  I did my own make up for my wedding using solely Bare Escentuals products.  Every wedding I’ve been in–I’ve used Bare Escentuals and every time I’ve been asked where I got my make up airbrushed.  The brand is pretty affordable in comparison to other high end brands, and the quality is the best I’ve ever tried.  If you’re on the fence–definitely take the plunge.  You will not regret it.

If you know me at all, you know there are just some things I can’t be bothered with. While I love makeup and can truly appreciate the art of a full face, that’s just never been my style. In fact, I was all set to take a management position at Lancôme just out of...

  1. I ordered some. I'm supposed to be in a spending freeze (har har), but it won't get here til February, so that doesn't count, right?
My resolution for Lent is to STOP BITING MY NAILS. Scott has attacked my cuticles more than once with a manicure kit because he says they're gross (nice, right?).
    I love your hair curled!

  3. Um, could you please be 20-35% less gorgeous? You're making the rest of us look bad, girl! Ha! But seriously, your pics are amazing!!! And I agree that BM is the best powder foundation. I was a die-hard fan of the mineral veil, but found a much less expensive one from eyeslipface (it's about $6). Aside from that, though, there really isn't any comparison.

Love your mani, too! Perfect for the upcoming month of love. Ha!

  7. oh, i LOVE the mani! the accent nail (is that what they're called?) is so delicate yet makes the whole thing "pop". i've seen dark nails and a sparkly accent nail but i find that to be too much; i like this one much better.
