This guy came home yesterday [this is an old photo]. National Signing Day was Wednesday so the Mr. earned himself a few days off. I spent the day waiting for him to get home looking for a bridesmaid dress, messing with my hair for a bridesmaid up do, and then I cooked one of our favorite meals: Chicken Pot Pie. It was definitely shaping up to be an awesome day. Until I got an email at nearly midnight from our landlord saying that the extra rent payment they decided to pull from our account (uh, thanks for that. We definitely have an extra $1000+ laying around for you to just have whenever) wasn’t showing up in their account. Cue heart attack…and the reason this post wasn’t written yesterday.
Day 34:
I started my day with a haircut. I’ve been growing my hair out for a while but decided to chop a good amount off to clean up the ends. I like it–it’s going to take a little getting used to, but I’m happy with how healthy it looks.
After we grabbed burgers from Cookout (maybe the best burgers in NC!) we spent the afternoon perusing Lowes to get ideas for all of the projects we’ve got going on at the new house. We had fun! It’s always fun to dream up how to decorate and renovate!
I of course painted my nails…because, well, I just wouldn’t be Joey if I didn’t. I’ve been loving the dark colors lately, but I thought I’d go bright this time just to shake things up!
I have to say, I was kind of disappointed in the glitter. Hardly any of the glitter actually made it on to the nail. It took several “pats” to get any on there at all. Meh-that’s okay.
Tonight I’m hodgepodging dinner, and I’m looking forward to just hanging out with the hubs!!
Hi Joey, just browsing through the Nail Files link ups. WOW, that is a really bright pop of color. Forget the groundhog – this color is all you need to have an early spring.
Have a great weekend,
Kali

I love the hot pink!!! I hate it when glitter doesn't really work. It's cute though, like confetti.
Stopping by from the linkup 🙂
Fun nails! Glad your man is back 🙂
love that pretty pink! glad you got to spend some time with your boo!
Love that finger paints – with glitters, I usually get the glitter that is stuck in the neck where I scrape off the excess polish before applying to my nail, if that helps.
