Let’s Get This Out In The Open: Confessions

(stealing Nadine’s image because I liked it)

I usually have a pretty hard time coming up with any confessions because I’m pretty much an open book–but I have a random handful for you today!

  • I had a bowl of mashed cauliflower and a glass of wine for dinner on Saturday night.
  • I pulled the shower curtain closed in the guest bathroom because I gave the dog a bath and didn’t feel like scrubbing the tub yet.
  • I got to drive J’s Jag to South Carolina and while it sort of made me feel like a douchebag, it was also super comfortable.
  • I saw my Camry (that we sold last year) on campus last week while running and it made me feel all the weird feels.
  • I wake up at least once a night to pee.  I can’t remember the last time I slept through the night.
  • J and I stayed up until 2AM on Friday night watching 20/20.  Because we’re awesome.
  • I run into door frames more than any human being ever should.
  • I get borderline obsessive about things I’m interested in.  After listening to the Elizabeth Smart audiobook, I proceeded to research the crap out of the case.
  • The first thing I do every single morning is pour my coffee.  Before anything else.
  • I have the nose of a bloodhound and it drives my husband crazy.
  • There is no method to the chaotic madness in my kitchen cabinets.
  • 90% of my life revolves around food.
  • I prefer beer over wine and wine over liquor.
  • For someone who loves makeup the way I do, I spend most of my days without any on
Welcome to the randomness inside my head.
Can we still be friends?

  1. Ahhh this makes me so happy because I made that image in picmonkey last week 🙂

Chris wanted a Jag when he got his car. I talked him out of it. Chris and J would be best friends.

    I prefer beer over everything!!!

My life revolved around my next meal.

    I heart you so hard.

  2. Totally still friends because a majority of my life revolves around too food.

I loved that you opening up with these confessions, because I often feel the same way about being an open book. Not only do I blog about what does on in my life, but I am never hesitant to open up verbally as well. I think we bloggers need to do more of this!

  3. I abhor the fact that I have to put make up on 5 days a week. Like right now, I'm procrastinating it.

I used to be all for the mixed drinks until I started drinking moscato, but now I have this terrible fear that wine makes me break out. I haven't really been drinking for the last 2 months and now, after 2 glasses this weekend, I get a weird pattern of breakouts. Can that be a coincidence? Anyway, speaking of liquor…I'm in the mood for a margarita (at 7am).

  4. Ummm, are you supposed to scrub the tub after giving the dog a bath? oops. I also get all emotional when I think I see my old Focus driving around town!

  5. Ooo that would be so weird and kind of bittersweet to see your old car! I used to have a silver Honda Civic that I loved (my first car!) and I would probably get all sentimental if I saw it now! Umm, is it weird for 90% of your life to revolve around food?? Because mine does. Maybe for me it's more like 95%… And I totally get obsessive about things like that too! Once I get interested in something it's like I have to know every piece of info about it ever.

  8. The Friday night prime time 20/20 is my jam. I get obsessive too over new things haha, I've stayed up way too late this week reading about/watching YouTube vids/Pinteresting all about my new FitBit, My fitness Pal and Macros! I told myself this morning that I'm not allowed to do it tonight. I have to get up at 4 am tomorrow for PB and can NOT get lost on that train for the 4th night in a row LOL. It's a problem…

  15. I wake up to pee every night, too! It's so frustrating but at this point, I have it down to a science. I don't even have to turn on any lights.

I'm the same way with makeup. Love it, too lazy to put it on every day.

  16. My world revolves around food too. Makeup is not something I love but I do love my husband and he mentioned liking me with some makeup on. Given the opportunity to not impress my husband, I'd wear no makeup. estherdavison@gmail.com
