I had such a blogger afternoon yesterday. J and I drove back into Charlotte from Raleigh, and when we got to town we were starving.
Have y’all seen the vine where the kid is all Oh my god I love Chipotle. Chipotle is my life. No? Okay, here, watch it.
J and I quote this on the regular. But confession? I’d never had Chipotle. But after quoting that over and over again, I felt like I was craving it (strange, I know). So our dinner decision was made.
We were off to Chipotle.
I tried really hard, y’all. I didn’t want to like it. I hate cult followings of most things because usually they aren’t justified. But aside from it being slightly expensive, it was delicious. It actually tasted fresh.
But the best part? Because it was all real food and what I ordered (crunchy steak tacos) didn’t contain gluten, wheat, soybean, or sulphites, my normally very sensitive (and quite frankly annoying) stomach didn’t get sick at all. I felt delightfully full, but not bloated or sick at all! So while I’m not sure that Chipotle is worth all the hype–for someone with food sensitivities, it’s definitely worth it. It’s almost impossible for me to find somewhere that I can eat out (especially in a hurry) without worrying that my stomach would get upset. So I’m pretty pumped.
Anyway, after Chipotle the hubs and I went over to Starbucks for a little post evening treat to kickstart this very big and crazy week!
Can I get my blogging card back now?
This was pretty much the most pointless post ever. But I was just so excited that I ate something that didn’t make me sick that I felt like I had to share it.
**The Better You Series will return once we’re settled from the move
Comparing ourselves to others is practically served to us on a silver platter in this digital world. We have constant access to everyone's highlight reel. We carry around a device that chirps and chimes, which studies have proven sends dopamine through our systems....
So my friend called me last week in a bit of a panic. Without really meaning to, she and her husband sold their house and bought a new one. I'd tell you the whole story about how someone randomly showed up on their doorstep putting in an offer on their house that...
Haha very nice, I quote that kid all the time too but usually to other people b/c I think Chipotle is good but definitely not life lol. Or perhaps it's the same reason I don't go to Starbucks either, I hate spending money haha Blogger card revoked from me and given to you 😉
Haha! Chipotle is tasty. I just refuse to eat there because of their fear mongering advertising. I opt for Freebirds, which is practically the same thing. 🙂 And I could eat Freebirds every. single. day. Yay that it didn't make you feel sick!
Haha, you totally get your blogger card back with the Starbucks !!! I loooove Chipotle, but I don't have it that often — it's always packed out and gross.
I had Chipotle for the first time last year. I've eaten at Qdoba for years though and I think their food is nearly identical. Of course, Chipotle has some very esteemed business practices (there's a documentary on Netflix), but I think it's just okay (you can take my blogging card away now).
I never had Chipotle until last year when I went down to Seattle to visit my mom and found one in the area we were shopping. I liked it…I didn't LOOOOOOOVE it like some people do, BUT I completely agree – when you find somewhere that doesn't kill your stomach (in my case, it's anything made with soy products) it's definitely worth it!!
It makes me so happy that you found something that made you feel good 🙂 and is that a petite vanilla bean scone I spy? Mmmmm Hope you have a great week!
I love me some Chipotle but I don't get it very often because my BF prefers another similar Mexi-grill chain. So I sneak it when he's gone for work! I think it's great they use such whole, good foods that didn't upset your tummy – I never really thought about the restaurant that way, I just go because it's yummy!
We don't have Chipotle here, but I desperately want to try it next time we're in the States. Generally, when things have cult followings, I like them, whether I want to or not. SO, I see good times at Chipotle in my future. 🙂 Also, that video is adorable!
I have only had Chipotle one time – i enjoyed it but I definitely never jumped on the whole I am obsessed with Chipotle – but it might be because I don't have one anywhere close to me.
Good luck on your crazy and exciting week! Once your settled, you can get back to your routines. I'm not a huge Chipotle fan because I'm more of a Qdoba fan. Both are good though. estherdavison@gmail.com
Yay for Chipotle. I'm gluten intolerant and if I come close to gluten my man and I will have a hard time for the next three or so weeks, so when I go to Chipotle I don't have any issues. I also only take a bowl so technically there's no tortilla in it {in case, ya never know, flour tortilla was on the menu/or someone else didn't wash their hands properly. hahaha}. So I take my bowl and either have it with Sofritas {some spicey goodness, really} or Barbacoa. Yeah. 😉 Ok, now I'm hungry.
I lovvvveeeee Chipotle…Chipotle is maaahhh liiifeeeeee. Hahahaha. I quote this to Amir no less than 3 times a week…at least! I can't wait to be back home and to gobble down some of that yumminess!
My only hope is that while you’re here, you feel a sense of belonging, comfort and empowerment. Because life is too short to live it worried you’re not good enough.
If you’re into the kind of books that suck you in, make you fall in love with the characters and root for the underdog, then you’ll probably love these stories.

Oh my goodness, I swoon over Chipotle! I didn't eat it until last year and hate that I waited that long. Happy Monday!

I love that you just tried Chipotle for the first time! I am seriously craving a frappuccino now!
We go to Chipotle once in a while, it's good. Not fabulous, but pretty good. I'm glad that you had a nice weekend. 🙂
I love me some Chipotle, it's so tasty & fresh to me!

Oh we love Chipotle! It is a little pricey, but so good! Glad you finally got to try it!!
Chipotle is awesome. I wish we had one closer. I miss it.
I have only had Chipotle one time – i enjoyed it but I definitely never jumped on the whole I am obsessed with Chipotle – but it might be because I don't have one anywhere close to me.
I don't even know if we have a Chipotle anywhere near us… that's sad
Welcome to the Chipotle train!! It really is delicious… and so is that Starbucks for that matter 🙂

Yay for your excitement! Text me to fill me in! P.S. I don't love Chipotle… I don't hate it, but I just don't love it. xo
I have never eaten at Chipotle. I didn't know it was so awesome for gluten free-ers though, i'll have to check it out 🙂

Oh my gosh! That is one of my favorite Vines….EVER! I think we may be sisters separated at birth because I quote it at least every other day!
bahahahahaha I love it! Isn't chipotle the best?!?!? They added tofu and now I'm officially obsessed 😉

Yay! So glad you've jumped on the Chipotle train {because it is NOT a bandwagon}! I'm kind of obsessed!
