love the 'carefully considering if it fit's into my puzzle anymore'. a lot of times we do things because we have always done them, or because they are there, but it is so important to reevaluate and analyse everything in our lives to make sure they still fit. wishing you all the best with writing and life in general 🙂 xx

I think every writer experiences ebbs and flows in the creativity process. Your friend was probably just asking about something she knows is important to you but I can also see how it feels like a stressor.
Kudos to you knowing what's missing and defining your life instead of waiting for life to define you. I think that's the key.

I love the questioning technique of "Is it currently serving a purpose?"
This is why I deleted IG from my phone a few weeks ago and it's how I'm easily able to get rid of clutter.

And turning thirty is MORE than a full-time job. People seem to expect so much out of each other. Like we're all supposed to have some great epiphany and if we don't, we've failed.

I tend to do a little self evaluation around my birthday each year, as well as around the beginning of each year when I realized I let another year go by without doing anything to chase my dreams. I like what you said about asking if each piece brings you joy. That should be our first question about anything in life, right?
