I LOVE gel nails. I have an at-home kit for gel polish, and I'm obesessed to say the least. I have tried (a different) DIY gel hack that worked pretty well also. I've used normal nail polish, and covered it with the gelish top coat "top it off" and cured it under the UV lamp. The only disadvantage to this hack is that you still need the lamp, but I already owned it so it worked out.
