Skincare is one area that tends to be so expensive, but sometimes it's worth the splurge if you find something you like, because you end up spending so much money on other products that just doesn't work.

I've seen a chart on Pinterest before that shows what each area's cause is, and when it's on your neck, it means you're fighting something–no surprise for me with an autoimmune problem. Unfortunately with all the changes I've made in diet and all, mine isn't going away. But I was wondering, did you make any changes when you got married, like a new food(s) or product you weren't using before that you've been using ever since? Or, as a couple people have mentioned, it seems that there could be hormone issues going on causing this.

I'm 31 and I swear my skin is sometimes worse now than when I was a teenager. You are not alone. Biore Charcoal products have been working well for me. I use the face wash and the masks. Masks in general are something I am trying to make a regular part of my skin care routine and they definitely seem to be helping. I invested in a Clarisonic as well and it works wonders! The older I get the more I'm learning there are certain things I'm not willing to skimp on and skincare is one of them!

I had no idea why, but then I got my Clairsonic and it has never in my life been better. I love it so much! It is a decent investment, but I would never endorse a product as much as the Clairsonic. I have maybe had 1 or 2 breakouts (mostly from stress) sense then. Love it! I don't have any advice for you when it comes to cleansers if you want to stay on a budget (I use Murad anti acne cleanser from Sephora…it's on the higher side).

I don't even show my bare face without makeup on in public let alone on my blog. I thankfully only suffer from acne when it's that time of the month and I get mountains on my face and I honestly just don't care because I already feel like s*** so who cares what I look like. So unfortunately I can't give you any tips but when I was younger I tried at home remedies, kind of like grandma's recipe type things. Try making an oatmeal mask and leave that on for a while. It feels really weird but it might help a little!

I just had a mini break down this weekend. My skin was doing so well and then BOOM! It has been so oily lately, and normally I get hormonal break outs on my chin from my birth control pills and usually that is it….but the last two weeks my cheeks have been break out, under my nose and now my forehead as of last night. Like WTF?!?!?! So no ok. I returned my new face wash to Sephora yesterday and I am going to give it a week with my old Aveeno stuff to hope it calms down some…then try something new. I think I need a whole new system. I was looking at the Paula Choice stuff. I used to go to her website for reviews on other brands and bzzagent sent me some vitamin C stuff of hers to try and a booklet of skin care myths and I really liked it. It looks like she has a new line for wrinkles and acne..which is so me! I think I am going to order it this week.

I have used that Clinique line before but my skin was too sensitive and I had an allergic reaction and ended up at the emergency clinic because of it. Sigh. Stupid skin!!!!!

I've dealt with problematic skin quite a bit (worst of all when I was studying for the bar exam and when I was pregnant). I've FINALLY gotten it under control, but it's because I started splurging for super high-quality products and a monthly facial (which seems to make all the difference in the world). I say if the Clinique works for you, stick with it. It's reasonable, and you're right… you probably spend that much trying other products anyway! 🙂
