What a bummer about your new purchase! I feel your pain, as I bought two jelly polishes accidentally this summer and was all: why is this the worst thing that's ever happened to me. Haha! I LOVE the purple polish with the silver glitter. It's so regally awesome!!

Gelous is a good topcoat for gritty polishes – usually one coat of it and one of Seche gets things completely smoothed out.

That polish looks very nice with the top coats on it! I've never used a textured nail polish before because I'm not sure I'd be able to deal with the texture! The red lip looks beautiful on you! And whoop whoop on being able to get your surgery done before the end of the year. Insurance deductibles are such a pain in the butt..... until you are done paying them and the insurance co has to start coughing up some dough! ;)
