I mean, $800+ per ticket to go home for a couple days just seemed outrageous. So we'd do something that no one else really got to do. We'd go to hotels and live it up by the pool with drinks in our hands. I mean, it was Hawaii! This year we're in SC and our families are a lot closer, but since we're due in January and everyone wants to come when/after the baby is born we're spending another holiday just the two of us, and I am totally ok with that. I never minded just having us together for the holidays, we've made so many memories!

Oh, and if I could get out of going to my father-in-law's side of the family for Thanksgiving I would be all over that! Unfortunately, my husband likes to make an appearance even though it is super awkward.
