A little about me? Well, I’m a 30 year old on a mission to be my truest self. I’m an author, a new youtuber, and a business owner.

I recently quit my day job to run a content development company with my blogging BFF, and I have to tell you it’s kind of the most exhilarating, wonderfully terrifying, awesomely perfect thing ever.

I live in Charlotte, NC with my husband, Jonathan, our Vizslador Bailey, and our my ridiculous cat Campbell.

My favorite part of being an adult is getting to eat dessert whenever I want. And I do, trust me. Especially if it’s chocolate. In true adult fashion, though, I’m doing my best to learn the art of balance: I’m forever on the hunt for quick and easy recipes that still taste good and workouts that are productive but fun.

I’m kind of high energy meets introverted. I have a lot of stories to tell and I talk…a lot, but big crowds drain me and it takes a day or two for me to recover. I’m best in small doses anyway, so it works out.

Anxiety is my arch nemesis. I’ve spent too much of my life ignoring its existence, so now I’m intentionally living with it. I like to recognize its presence but keep it in its place. It’s a process, and if you suffer from anxiety, too, I hope you’ll find a dose of comfort here.

I’ve wanted to be a writer my whole life. I graduated from App State with a degree in Creative Writing and published my first book in 2014. Intrigued? Grab your copy of Yeah, maybe on Amazon!

I was the girl behind the blog Hodgespodges for seven years. A blog started to simply practice writing turned into more than I ever anticipated. But like with many things in life, seasons change, and I felt like a fresh start was necessary as I embark on a new chapter in life.

About this blog. Here, you’ll find a little bit of everything from chatting business to beauty favorites with a whole lotta life in between. In an attempt to harness the essence of blogging circa 2k10, I’m making it a point to keep it real and share an unfiltered version of life, and I hope you’ll be inspired to do the same.

While you’re here, I hope you nod along, feel less alone, laugh a little, learn something, and maybe make a new friend.
