And truth be told I love makeup. But most days, it’s not something I make time to fuss with. I don’t want to look like the walking dead, but also don’t want to spend a ton of time every day.
The trick to the no-makeup makeup look is to really pamper your skin!
The point of the no makeup makeup look for me is to highlight my strongest features without it being obvious.
First up, the Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Eraser. This is new for me. I hate the packaging, love the product. I apply it in the typical triangle under my eyes, bringing what’s left down my nose and hitting my eyelids. I have two scars on my cheeks from cystic breakouts that this ends up covering, too.
Next, I dust the Rimmel Stay Matte powder all over my face. I use translucent, but for some reason it ends up making everything look a little softer, and it seems to have some coverage which doesn’t make any sense to me, but hey…I’m not complaining.
I hit my cheeks with just a bit of the Nyx blush. Pinched is a great touch of color that also has a bit of a highlighting quality to it. It adds a nice flush to the skin without looking like makeup.
The Naked Basics Palette has a few jobs. I mix Naked 2 & Faint together and tackle my brows lightly. I take a flat eyeliner brush and pick up some crave for my tight line. This is a great way to add depth to your eyes without actually seeing the liner. I take that same liner brush and dip it into Faint. I very gently tap it under my bottom lashes. Again, a great way to line the eyes without it seeming so obvious.
I forgot to photograph mascara, but you know you should always use mascara, right? That’s a probably a no-brainer. Just use what works for you. I like the Covergirl Clump Crusher. Two light coats on top lashes, one light coat on bottom lashes.
Finish up with a soft gloss. You can also opt for a soft, matte lipstick.
I sitll can't make myself do the no makeup…. I just don't feel like myself, but truth be told, my husband prefers me without, its a no win situation 🙂
I love the no makeup makeup look, too… which is great because some days I'm just too lazy to do everything! Although I never leave the house without mascara 😉 I've been meaning to try the Maybelleine concealer – thanks for the reminder!
This sounds so similar to my morning routine- foundation, blush, brows, mascara, and a type of liner. I would love to have the time to experiment with different makeup styles… but when morning rolls around, my only goal is to look awake!:)
I thought I had mastered the no make up look the other day until I was running into everyone I know the other day and my husband was like, "where's your makeup" – okay then 😉
If I'm going for the no makeup look I usually just end up wearing mascara and lip gloss. To me that can make a huge difference.
I've been finding myself wearing less and less makeup lately. But, I'm definitely going to keep these products in mind for those days when I want to feel a little more pulled together!

Obviously we use some of the exact same products because you know, twins and all that, haha. I love the no makeup makeup look! I've noticed that in Amsterdam SO many people go with this look and that makes me happy because I don't have to worry about dolling up excessively on a daily basis! x
Great tips girl!! You should link this up with Jessi and I today!
I love the no makeup look and a lot of your products are in my daily look – the powder, mascara and concealer! Sometimes in the winter, I like a little more coverage and I'll use the Maybelline BB cream so you have a little coverage and moisturizer!
I'm a huge fan of the no makeup look, and the Naked Basics palette is perfect for it! And girl I hear ya on the adult acne, so some makeup is necessary for cover up. Loving these tips <3

The no make up look is quite beautiful and timeless for sure!!! I am obsessed with that rimmel powder and I use translucent as well. It is so inexpensive and sets everything just so for me! Age Rewind is another that I grab for often.
My no make-up look is mascara….and only mascara. It's so low-key at work that I rarely wear makeup other than mascara and I'm totally fine with it. I will use a bit of cover-up or foundation if I'm breaking out but that's all.
LOVE this, though obviously I'm makeup-obsessed. That Maybelline concealer is my absolute favorite, and I equally adore the NYX blush. I wear more makeup than I should during the week, but it's mostly fun for me. I'm nosy and enjoy seeing what others wear!
Perfect post. I always say less is more, and with a five minute quick touch up in the right places we will always look gorgeous! 🙂
I'm like you… I absolutely LOVE makeup but don't feel like getting up an hour early to spend even more time on it every day. Thanks but no thanks… I don't know how some girls gets completely dolled up every single day – just the thought makes me exhausted, lol
Stay Matte is my favorite!
Less is more. Pinned this to come back and see the products when I'm ready for a refill!
that maybelline stuff is legit my favourite product of all time. i haven't tried the bigger one, but my bestie said it's a lot softer in the applicator, so i might try it next. and that powder is my fave. i love a fully made up look for nights out, but i don't have the patience to do that every day, plus my skin freaks out if i do it too often. i did it in disney for 3 days, and on the 4th day my skin was like don't you dare haha so i had to do the basic simple look (basically this). i haven't tried any of nyx's blushes, but i want to!
